Custos Blueprint
The agreement came before the first question.
The front door was built so that nothing about the venture can be asked before a mutual agreement has been signed. That is not a policy written on a page; the form that opens the door has no field to put it in, so there is nowhere for an answer to go even if somebody asked.
Your answers became a record, and then the record closed.
Every answer was taken one question at a time, in the words it was given in, and then sealed: the whole document stamped with a fingerprint of itself, so that anything changing underneath would stop matching its own stamp. The stamp is printed beside the design wherever it is read.
The design records what was decided, and by how much it went against advice.
Every fork in the interview is written down with what was recommended, what was chosen, and what the choice means for the build. Six of the ten went against the recommendation, which is the point of recording them: a decision record in which somebody agreed with everything proves nothing at all.
- decisions recorded 10
- decisions taken against advice 6
- open questions written down rather than assumed 5
What could not be answered yet is written down as a question, not filled in.
The interview cannot draw a screen or set the sensitivity of a single field, so the design says so, under its own numbered rows, and names who owes each one. A claim about an existing system is recorded as a claim until a request to it answers, and until then the work is scoped as though the system were not there.
